Die Landesbehörde meldet
gemäß Bericht der Polizeidirektion
Bratislava,
dass am 17. August 1938 um 0.50h unweit der tschechoslowakisch-deutschen Grenze am
rechten Ufer der Donau der Versuch des illegalen
Grenzübertritts von Seiten Pavel
Kastners unternommen wurde, geboren am 25. März
1891 in Mährisch Ostrau, heimatberechtigt in Wien, jüdischen
Glaubens, von Beruf Techniker, zuletzt wohnhaft in Wien VIII. Bezirk,
Josefstädterstrasse Nr. 29, dem dabei Nikola
Novakov behilflich war, 25-jähriger bulgarischer
Staatsangehöriger, Gärtner, wohnhaft in Wolfstahl, Deutschland. Der Versuch gelang nicht, da die tschechoslowakische
Grenzwache zugriff, welche die Genannten durchsuchte. Während der Durchsuchung nahm
Pavel Kastner in einem unbewachten
Augenblick ein unbekanntes Gift, worauf er nach 5 Minuten verstarb.

zu einer Strafe von 10 Tagen Haft verurteilte, gab
beim Verhör an, dass er von Pavel
Kastner für die Hilfe beim Übertritt der
Staatsgrenze 100 Mark erhalten hat.

Krajinský úrad oznamuje podľa zprávy policajného
riaditeľstva v Bratislave, že dňa 17. augusta 1938 o 0,50
stal sa neďaleko československo-nemeckých hraníc na
pravom brehu Dunaja pokus ilegálneho prekročenia
hraníc so strany Pavla Kastnera,
narodeného dňa 25. marca 1891 v Moravskej Ostrave,
príslušného do Viedne, náboženstva židovského,
zamestnaním technika, naposledy bytom vo Viedni VIII. okres,
Josefstädterstrasse č. 29, ktorému pri tom napomáhal Nikola Novakov, 25 ročný bulharský
štátny príslušník, zahradník, bytom vo Wolfsthal, Nemecko. Pokus sa nezdaril, nakoľka zasiahla československá
pohraničná stráž, ktorá menovaných perlustrovala. Pri perlustrácii v nestreženom okamžiku
použil Pavel Kastner neznámeho jedu, na čo
za 5 minút zomrel.

odsúdilo k trestu 10 dňového uzamknutia, pri výsluchu udal, že za
pomoc pri prekročení štátnej hranice obdržal od Pavla
Kastnera 100 mariek.
